Kido - A rough translation is “way of energy”. Chanting Thousand Eyes and Hands Sutra. Kido is an especially strong form of chanting meditation and action Zen dating back to ancient China.

Our greenhouse attached to the main Dharma Room at Providence Zen Center will be getting a makeover soon. Thanks to a successful fundraising drive last year our House Master will begin work to rebuild the decades old structure. My “house job” is taking care of all the plants, I’m not sure yet where they’ll all end up, with how warm the weathers been it probably will be a non-issue. With the new bamboo floors, a new roof over the dining room and kitchen, renovated abbot’s house and and all new windows in the Zen Center’s main building, this old ship is starting to shape up.
